Internet Connection Troubleshooting Tips – Why Your Internet is So Slow
Although many people have high-speed broadband connections at work and at home, there’s still a major problem with many people having to put up with slow Internet connection speeds. This is an issue which even the most advanced of computers cannot avoid and is one which is actually quite easy to fix.
There are two ways that the Internet runs slowly – either the ISP (Internet Service Provider) is not sending the right speed OR your computer is not processing the various command and Internet pages in a timely manor, making it appear to be slow. For most people, their computer is going to be the issue and it’s actually very easy to fix.
The most common cause of a slow Internet connection is to have a computer that simply isn’t reading the Internet as quickly as it should. This is caused by a fault inside Windows and is what many people are experiencing with their slow connections. More specifically, this issue is caused by your computer being unable to read the settings it needs to browse the Internet, slowing it down and making your Internet connection appear to be slow.
Whenever you browse the Internet on your PC, it constantly needs to refer back to several ‘settings’ that it needs to process the various web pages that you want to visit. These settings tell Windows everything from how you load up a web page to how to play a video on YouTube, making them extremely important. The reason why many computers are unable to load up web pages quickly is because many of the settings that tell them how to do it are unreadable, making your PC struggle to read the files it needs.
This is a major issue, but is actually quite easy to fix. You just need to use a ‘registry cleaner’ to scan through your PC and fix any of the damaged or corrupted settings that Windows has inside it. These tools are highly effective at removing all the potential errors on your PC, and if your computer’s Internet is being caused by corrupt settings then these tools should be able to fix the issue for you. You should download a registry cleaner off the Internet, let it scan your PC and it will show you the number of errors it finds. If there are over 300 errors, then you should let it fix all the errors which should speed up your Internet.
